
Eagle County Health Service District presently serves 550 square miles of eastern Eagle County Colorado, providing paramedic and ambulance transport services to residents and visitors. The District answers more than 3,000 calls a year for emergency medical care, responding from its two 24-hour staffed stations in Vail and Edwards. The District's staff of more than 40 people is governed by a five member Board of Directors. Additionally, since 1995 the District has been one of only three medical transport agencies in Colorado to be nationally accredited with the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).
