About Us/Operations

Eagle County Health Service District dba Eagle County Ambulance District (ECAD) presently serves 770 square miles of eastern Eagle County Colorado, providing paramedic and ambulance transport services to residents and visitors. The District answers more than 3,000 calls a year for emergency medical care, responding from its three 24-hour staffed stations in Vail, Avon and Edwards. The District's staff is governed by a five member Board of Directors. The District has been nationally accredited with the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) since 1995, the longest such accreditation in Colorado.
